The Joy is A Movement team believes joy is a necessary practice. Our heritage tells us that joy is a divine connection rooted deep within our Caribbean bodies. We come from lime and fete, carnival and bachannal, Jouvay and lagniappe. We come from resilience, resistance, and a deliberate liberation. We are the islands that birthed us, and we dream their future wherever we are in the scattered geography of our diaspora.
Joy is A Movement brings fresh cultural programming to modern Caribbean audiences under our Soca Social banner. We produce gatherings, ceremonies, and experiences for people ready to take Caribbean culture and heritages seriously.
